Letter Just Sent to Major New Hampshire Newspaper

To The Editor:

New Hampshire, of course, is one of the major early battlegrounds of the presidency. And with the coming months, residents of the Granite State are already playing host to a variety of aspiring Oval Office occupants.
It should be noted that, from the point of view of this lifelong New Jersey resident, when our governor Chris Christie comes courting for your vote, you ought to be aware of the outrageous actions of his office over the past year.
Members of the Governor's office, and many believe the Governor himself, ordered the punitive closure of the George Washington Bridge in order to punish a local politician. In doing this, his office endangered thousands of lives, imperiled commerce and risked the security of the entire New York City region on the anniversary of September 11 attacks. It ought to be mentioned that had Al Qaida struck again on that day - and it specializes in anniversary attacks - the consequences for the nation would have been catastrophic.

This Governor has also callously mismanaged Federally provided emergency aid to victims of Hurricane Sandy; currently less than half of the aid has reached the storm's victims, even though the storm happened years ago.

Your state's motto is "Live Free or Die." Well, if you intend on continuing to live free, and avoid dying, I would most definitely advise you not to vote for this cunning and callous politician. His record here in New Jersey proves his regard for his own ambition far exceeds his concern for our very lives.

Sincerely,

Daniel B. Kurz
Princeton, N.J.
